And sometimes these problems and questions are a big obstacle.

Here are five frequently asked questions and answers on the Google Profile Help Forum.

(Well, if you don’t think any of these apply to you, read on; I don’t know when you’ll run into one of these problems. Just saying.)

1. How do I start managing my business profile on Google Search?

At the top of the Business Profile Manager Information section, you’ve probably seen a less visible blue banner that invites you to manage your business profile directly with Google Search.

Or you may have seen “Nudge” in the “Home” section of the toolbar.

However, most business owners should get used to managing their Google Business Profile with Google Search.

If you only have one business/location, you will soon be able to manage your Google Business Profile using only the Google Search or Google Maps app.

This popup started showing up recently when I logged into Business Profile Manager.

If you represent an agency or company that manages multiple Google Business Profiles, you can manage them in Business Profile Manager. However, understanding how to manage profiles in search is still a good idea.

While managing your profile with Search, you can do everything you can with Business Profile Manager.

Call?

You may need to explore the fields and options you are looking for until you get used to where everything is.

How to start managing your business profile on Google Search

Make sure you’re signed in to the account you use to manage your Google Business Profile.

Then enter your business name into Google (you may need to enter a city or state). You can also search for “my company”.

If everything goes well, you will see a knowledge panel on the right and a merchant panel on the left.

The administration area looks like this:

The Business Profile/Knowledge panel and the Seller panel are displayed, where you perform most editing and management tasks.

The Merchant Dashboard has a menu where you can find all the ways to deepen and upgrade your business.. Profiles and the ability to “encourage” Google to perform additional actions that can be performed on the profile.

You can manage your business profile from various menus.

Profile editing

Here you can edit basic business information such as contact information, URLs, business hours, and other business information.

You can also add and remove products and services, and upload photos and videos.

Observation. The Edit menu typically shows information that Google has changed because the data found on the Internet is inconsistent with the business owner’s information, or changes that you have suggested and approved by Google.

If there are any changes to your profile, you will receive an email.

However, Google search requires you to search various menus for what has changed, such as business hours, company names, website URLs, addresses, products and services. etc

Promotion

From the Promote menu, you can view your Google Business profile information or create a short URL that you can send to your customers to see your business, upload photos and videos, and create posts. Can.

Customer

From the Client menu, you can view and answer incoming comments, view incoming information when call history is enabled, read and reply to messages, and answer business questions in Q & A. increase.

2. Your Google Business Profile has been blocked. What am i doing

Nothing is worse than seeing a tragic notice that Google’s business profile has been suspended.

If you put all the eggs in one basket and the basket breaks, you will have problems.

See what happens when you suspend your Google Business Profile in Business.

There are two types of suspension, “soft” suspension and “hard” suspension.

If temporarily banned, the knowledge bar will still appear in the search results, but you will not be able to change your profile. It’s as if your business is no longer validated.

When the suspension becomes severe, your business profile will not be shown on Google and will not be made available to the public.

Google doesn’t tell you why your business profile was blocked. You will decide.

So what if your company’s profile drops?

First, if your business profile is blocked, you should carefully read Google’s Business Profile Policies and Restricted Content to determine which policies your profile is violating.

(Many people don’t know that Google updates these policies frequently, and it’s your responsibility to keep them up to date and follow them.)

It’s always a good idea to read the recommendations line by line while extracting business information to align the recommendations with your profile.

Once you discover an issue, you must correct it on your profile before you can complete a restore request.

Note. Don’t run multiple restore requests.

When submitting a reinstatement request, explain the problem and tell Google that you’ve fixed the problem with your profile to prove that you’re running a legitimate business. You can do this by downloading:

• Photographs of stationary commercial signage both inside and outside the building.

• Copy of commercial license.

• Register with the secretary of state or other government agency to obtain a business license in your country.

• Photograph of company car with license plate (for service area companies).

• Phone bills with company name and address.

Essentially, you need to prove to Google that you are a real, legitimate business that meets the requirements of Google’s Business Profile.

After submitting a recovery request, the Google Business Profile support team will take some time to review your information.

It usually takes 3 days for the support team to confirm your information and respond to your decision.

Once they have reviewed the information in your refurbishment order, you will receive their refurbishment decision by email from support.

After Google Business Profile Support responds to the outage, you will need to contact support through these emails.

3. Service Area The Company varies from state to state, but the company profile still appears in previous state search results.

If the outage becomes severe, your business profile will not be visible to Google and will not be open to the public.

Google doesn’t say why his business profile was blocked. You will decide.

So what if your company’s profile goes down?

First, if your business profile is blocked, you should carefully review Google’s business profile policy and restricted content to determine which policy your profile violates.

(Many people don’t know that Google updates these policies frequently. It’s your responsibility to keep them up to date and follow them.)

It’s a good idea to read the recommendations line by line as you get business information and align your recommendations with your profile.

If you find a problem, you need to fix the problem in your profile before you can complete the restore request.

Observation. Do not run multiple restore requests.

When you submit a reinstatement request, we’ll explain the issue, let Google know that you’ve fixed the profile issue, and indicate that you’re running a legitimate business. You can do that by downloading:

• Pictures of commercial signs inside and outside the building.

• A copy of the business license.

• Register with the Secretary of State or other government agencies to obtain a business license in your country.

• Photo of a company car with a license plate (for companies in the service area).

• Telephone charges with company name and address.

Basically, you need to prove to Google that you are a genuine legitimate company that meets the requirements of Google Company Profile.

4. How do I add a manager or owner to my Google Business Profile?

You can add a manager (or owner) to your business profile to help others manage your business profile.

First, trust someone if you want to give them access, especially if you want to give access to a digital marketing agency.

Don’t make others the main owners of the business.

There is only one main owner of the business, and he must be the actual owner of the business.

Please note that you must be the owner to add (or remove) users.

To add an administrator (user), you need to go to the details menu in the Google Search Seller Dashboard. Click on the three dots next to the main menu.

Here you will see the “Manager” option where you can add, edit or remove a Business Profile Manager.

To add a manager or owner, click “Add” and a dialog box will appear where you can send an invitation to anyone you want to add to your Google Business Profile.

Enter an email address and select the role you want to assign to them: owner or administrator.

The owner role allows users to edit business profiles, add managers, and transfer ownership. So choose these users and roles carefully.

The manager role is the most limited and ideal for digital marketing agencies and staff to update their business profiles.

If you add as an administrator or owner, you will receive an email confirming that you want to manage your business profile.

5. Zip PIN not working

What if I received a postcard in the mail with my Google Business Profile PIN, but the PIN isn’t working?

This may be because the PIN on the postcard is not valid for various reasons.

First, the verification PIN will expire after 30 days.

If it has been more than 30 days since you requested the postcard, your PIN has expired and you will need to request a new PIN. Then you have to wait for a new or replacement postcard.

While you’re waiting for the second postcard, don’t order another postcard or make any changes to your business profile, just in case (more on this later).

Note that there may be other issues as well.

Each confirmation PIN is unique to the company and business address you specified when you ordered the postcard.

Before ordering a postcard, you must first ensure that your physical location is correct/accurate and that you follow Google’s guidelines for using your address.

If your address doesn’t meet these requirements, your business won’t be able to get a Google Business Profile.

There are several other reasons why your PIN is not working.

Did you order a new postcard while waiting for the first postcard to arrive?

Or, have you edited important information on your Google business profile like your company name, address, categories, and other information while waiting for your PIN postcard?

If you request a postcard with a new PIN during the current postcard transfer, or if you change certain information in your business profile, Google will invalidate the postcard code in your email.

(This procedure helps protect the integrity of the profile.)

Therefore, you must request a new postcard.

Example: If a postcard is requested and sent, only the PIN requested for the address listed in the business profile will work.

If you change the business address before the postcard PIN confirms the business profile, the PIN will not work and you will need to request a new PIN.

Another important thing. When entering the PIN code, be careful not to enter the wrong code more than 5 times. If you do, validation will continually fail.

If this happens, you’ll need to remove the business profile from your Google account and create a new one. So basically you have to start over.

Additionally, Google only allows a limited number of business validation attempts within a specified time period and cannot update the business profile name until validation is complete.

These are the main reasons why PIN codes do not work.

If you’ve requested a second postcard and haven’t received it within approximately 14 days of requesting a resend, please complete the Google Business Profile support form.
